MYOB
You can use the MYOB connector from the CData Sync application to capture data from MYOB and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.
Add the MYOB Connector
To enable Sync to use data from MYOB, you first must add the connector, as follows:
-
Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.
-
Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.
-
Click the Sources tab and locate the MYOB row.
-
Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row to open the New Connection page. If the Configure Connection icon is not available, click the Download Connector icon to install the MYOB connector. For more information about installing new connectors, see Connections.
Authenticate to MYOB
After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.
On the New Connection page, enter the connection name of your choice.
CData Sync supports connecting to two instance types, and the authentication scheme is based on your instance type. Select your instance type below to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.
Cloud
For a cloud instance, specify the following properties:
-
Auth Scheme - The authentication scheme (preselected) is OAuth.
-
User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your MYOB account.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your MYOB account.
On-Premises
For an on-premises instance, specify the following properties:
-
Auth Scheme - The authentication scheme (preselected) is Basic.
-
User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your MYOB account.
-
URL - Enter the URL for your MYOB instance.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your MYOB account.
Complete Your Connection
To complete your connection:
-
(Optional) For Company File Id, enter the identifier (Id) for your company file.
Note: If you do not specify an Id, Sync specifies the Id of the first returned company file.
-
Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
-
If you authenticate with OAuth, click Connect to MYOB to connect to your MYOB account.
-
Click Create & Test to create your connection.
