SAP Ariba Procurement


You can use the SAP Ariba Procurement connector from the CData Sync application to capture data from SAP Ariba Procurement and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.

Add the SAP Ariba Procurement Connector

To enable Sync to use data from SAP Ariba Procurement, you first must add the connector, as follows:

  1. Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.

  2. Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.

  3. Click the Sources tab and locate the SAP Ariba Procurement row.

  4. Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row to open the New Connection page. If the Configure Connection icon is not available, click the Download Connector icon to install the SAP Ariba Procurement connector. Authenticate to SAP Ariba Procurement

After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

  • Connection Name - Enter a connection name of your choice.

  • API Key - Enter your OAuth application key.

  • API - Select the API from which Sync should retrieve SAP Ariba Procurement data.

  • Auth Scheme - By default, the authentication scheme is OAuthClient. For this scheme, specify the following settings:

    • OAuth Client Id - Enter the client Id that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.

    • OAuth Client Secret - Enter the client secret that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.

Purchase Orders Buyer API

For the Purchase Orders Buyer Data API, specify the following settings:

  • API: - Select PurchaseOrdersBuyerAPI-V1.

  • ANID - Enter your SAP Ariba Procurement network identifier (Id).

Purchase Orders Supplier API

For the Purchase Orders Supplier API, specify the following settings:

  • API: Select PurchaseOrdersSupplierAPI-V1.

  • ANID - Enter your SAP Ariba Procurement network Id.

Operational Reporting API for Procurement

For the Contract API, specify the following settings:

  • API: Select OperationalReportingAPIForProcurement-V2.

  • Realm - Enter the realm from which you want to access data.

  • Include Custom Fields (optional) - Specify whether you want Sync to expose custom fields as columns in SAP Ariba Procurement tables. The default value is False.

Complete Your Connection

To complete your connection:

  1. Specify the following properties:

    • Max Threads (optional) - Enter the maximum number of concurrent requests that Sync can execute to SAP Ariba Procurement. The default number is 5.

    • Environment (optional) - Select the environment that you want to use when you connect to SAP Ariba Procurement.

  2. Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)

  3. Click Create & Test to create your connection.
