Connections

CData Sync comes pre-installed with a select list of popular sources and destinations. However, many more connectors are available to download from the CData website. You can download and install connectors directly from within the admin console, or you can manually install them in various ways as described below.

Install a Connector Automatically within CData Sync

To download a new connector from the CData website:

  1. Open the Connections tab from the navigation bar.

  2. Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.

  3. Select either the Sources tab or the Destinations tab, depending on which type of connector you want to create.

  4. Locate the connector that you want to add and click the icon that appears at the end of the connector row. Clicking the icon opens the the Install Connector dialog box.

  5. Select Automatically install connector. Then click Install.

This dialog box remains open until just before the installation completes. If the installation is successful, a message to that effect appears in the upper right of your Select Connectors page.

After the connector is downloaded, the icon is replaced with the Configure Connection arrow. For details about configuring your connector, see Creating Connections.

Note: To see a list of only connectors that you have installed, toggle the Only Installed switch to the right. (The switch is in the left corner above the connectors list.)
