Microsoft Project
You can use the Microsoft Project connector from the CData Sync application to capture data from Microsoft Project and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.
Add the Microsoft Project Connector
To enable Sync to use data from Microsoft Project, you first must add the connector, as follows:

Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.

Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.

Click the Sources tab and locate the Microsoft Project row.

Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row to open the New Connection page. If the Configure Connection icon is not available, click the Download Connector icon to install the Microsoft Project connector. For more information about installing new connectors, see Connections.
Authenticate to Microsoft Project
After you add the connector, you need to set the required properties.

Connection Name - Enter a connection name of your choice.

URL - Enter the URL to the Microsoft Project web application (for example, https://MyOrganization.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa).
CData Sync supports authenticating to Microsoft Project in several ways. Select your authentication method below to proceed to the relevant section that contains the authentication details.

SharePoint Online Cookie Service (default)
SharePoint Online Cookie Service
To use your login credentials to connect to Microsoft Project on SharePoint Online, specify the following properties:

Auth Scheme - Select SharePointOnlineCookies.

User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your Microsoft Project account.

Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your Microsoft Project account.
OAuth
To connect with OAuth custom credentials, specify the following properties:

Auth Scheme – Select OAuth.

OAuth Client Id - Enter the client Id that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.

OAuth Client Secret - Enter the client secret that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.
Active Directory Federation Services
To connect with single sign-on (SSO) via ADFS, specify the following properties:

Auth Scheme - Select ADFS.

User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your ADFS account.

Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your ADFS account.

SSO Login URL - Enter the login URL that is used by your SSO provider.
Okta
To connect with single sign-on (SSO) via Okta, specify the following properties:

Auth Scheme – Select OKTA.

User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to your Okta account.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to your Okta account.
-
SSO Login URL - Enter the login URL that is used by your SSO provider.

SSO Properties - Enter additional properties that are required to connect to your identity provider. You must use a semicolon-separated list of properties (for example, SSOProperty1=Value1;SSOProperty2=Value2;…).
OneLogin
To connect with single sign-on (SSO) via OneLogin, specify these settings:

Auth Scheme: Select OneLogin.

User – Enter the username for your Microsoft Project account.
-
Password – Enter the password for your Microsoft Project account.

SSO Properties – Enter additional properties that are required to connect to your identity provider. You must use a semicolon-separated list of properties (for example, SSOProperty1=Value1;SSOProperty2=Value2;…).
Azure Active Directory
To connect with an Azure Active Directory (AD) user account, specify these settings:

Auth Scheme - Select AzureAD.

Azure Tenant - Enter the Microsoft Online tenant that you use to access data. If you do not specify a tenant, Sync uses the default tenant.

SSO Properties - Enter additional properties that are required to connect to your identity provider. You must use a semicolon-separated list of properties (for example, SSOProperty1=Value1;SSOProperty2=Value2;…).

OAuth Client Id - Enter the client Id that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.

OAuth Client Secret - Enter the client secret that you were assigned when you registered your application with an OAuth authorization server.
To complete your connection:

(Optional) For Schema, select the type of schema that you want to use:
-
ODataV2 (default) - This schema supports all create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) operations. However, custom fields are not exposed with the schema. Optionally, you can also specify a default project identifier (Id) in the Project Id text box.

ODataV1 - This schema provides more granular data and exposes the custom fields.

Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)

If you authenticate with OAuth and AzureAD, click Connect to Microsoft Project to connect to your Microsoft Project account.

Click Create & Test to create your connection.
