AlloyDB
You can use the AlloyDB connector from the CData Sync application to move data from any supported source to the AlloyDB destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.
Establish a Connection
To allow Sync to use data from AlloyDB, you first must establish a connection to AlloyDB. Follow these steps to connect AlloyDB to your Sync account:
-
Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.
-
Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.
-
Click the Destinations tab and locate the AlloyDB row.
-
Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row. If you do not see the Configure Connection icon, you need to add the connector according to the instructions in Connections.
-
Enter connection settings on the Settings tab:
-
Connection Name - Enter a connection name of your choice.
-
Server - Enter the host name or the IP address of the server that hosts the AlloyDB database. The default host name is localhost.
-
User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to the AlloyDB server.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to the AlloyDB server.
-
Database - Enter the database that you want to connect to when you connect to the AlloyDB server. If you do not specify a database, CData Sync uses the default database.
-
Port - Enter the port number of the server that hosts the AlloyDB database. The default port value is 5432.
-
-
Click Create & Test to create the connection.
-
Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
