Microsoft Project
You can use the Microsoft Project connector from the CData Sync application to capture data from Microsoft Project and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.
Establish a Connection
To allow Sync to use data from Microsoft Project, you first must establish a connection to Microsoft Project. Follow these steps to connect Microsoft Project to your Sync account:
-
Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.
-
Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.
-
Click the Sources tab and locate the Microsoft Project row.
-
Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row. If you do not see the Configure Connection icon, you need to add the connector according to the instructions in Connections.
-
Enter connection settings on the Settings tab:
-
Connection Name - Enter a connection name of your choice.
-
URL - Enter the URL to the Microsoft Project web application (for example, https://MyOrganization.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa).
-
Auth Scheme - Select the authentication scheme. The default setting is SharePointOnlineCookies. For this setting, specify your login credentials:
-
User - Enter the username that you use to authenticate to Microsoft Project.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to Microsoft Project.
-
-
Schema - Select the schema that you want to use. The default schema is ODataV2. If your schema is ODataV2, you must also specify the Id of your default project in the Project Id property field.
-
-
Click Connect to MicrosoftProject to connect to your Project account.
-
Click Create & Test to create the connection.
-
Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
