Microsoft Dynamics CRM
You can use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector from the CData Sync application to capture data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM and move it to any supported destination. To do so, you need to add the connector, authenticate to the connector, and complete your connection.
Establish a Connection
To allow Sync to use data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you first must establish a connection to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Follow these steps to connect Microsoft Dynamics CRM to your Sync account:
-
Open the Connections page of the Sync dashboard.
-
Click Add Connection to open the Select Connectors page.
-
Click the Sources tab and locate the Microsoft Dynamics CRM row.
-
Click the Configure Connection icon at the end of that row. If you do not see the Configure Connection icon, you need to add the connector according to the instructions in Connections.
-
Enter connection settings on the Settings tab:
-
Connection Name - Enter a connection name of your choice.
-
Auth Scheme - Select the authentication scheme. NTLM is the default setting. For this setting, specify your login credentials:
-
User - Enter the SharePoint username that you use to authenticate to the Dynamics CRM server.
-
Password - Enter the password that you use to authenticate to the Dynamics CRM server.
-
-
URL - Enter the root URL for your organization.
-
For CRM 4.0 or a CRM 2011, the URL is in this form: http://MySite/MyOrganization.
-
For CRM Online, the URL is in this form: https://MyOrganization.crm.dynamics.com
-
-
CRM Version - Select the type of Dynamics CRM server to which you want to connect. The default setting is CRM2011+.
-
-
Click Create & Test to create the connection.
-
Define advanced connection settings on the Advanced tab. (In most cases, though, you should not need these settings.)
