CData provides custom plugins and drivers to connect popular clients to your data sources in CData Connect. For Clients that do not have these custom plugins or drivers, you can connect to your data through the endpoints outlined below.

API

CData Connect provides a full-featured API that enables any REST-compatible application or client capable of creating HTTP requests to query data, perform batch operations, and execute stored procedures across all data sources configured in your account. See API for more information.

OData

The CData Connect OData API implements the Open Data (OData) Protocol. It enables you to customize the data you surface to Clients and provides a single endpoint for any client that supports OData connections.

Virtual SQL Server

CData’s Virtual SQL Server implements the Tabular Data Stream (TDS) protocol. It emulates a standard SQL server and allows you to query your data like any other SQL source.
