Overview

The RSSBus JDBC Driver for NetSuite allows you to access NetSuite from Java applications. Developers can build Java applications with connectivity to NetSuite using the familiar JDBC interfaces. The driver abstracts the underlying data source into tables, views, and stored procedures that can be used to both retrieve and update data.

The Getting Started section explains how the driver integrates with different Integrated Development Environments (IDEs). It covers connecting to a live data source and interacting with data through the data browser in the IDE.

The Using JDBC section shows some common programming idioms that will give you a quick preview of the JDBC API.

The Supported SQL section shows the SQL syntax supported by the driver and points out any limitations.

An important feature of the driver is the ability to easily cache data locally. This allows the driver to be used in an offline mode when access to the data source is not possible. It also enables complex SQL queries that are otherwise not supported by the underlying data source itself. See the section Caching Data for more details on this feature.
