Connecting to PivotalTracker

PivotalTracker uses token authentication to control access to the API.

Using Token Authentication

In order to connect to PivotalTracker, you'll need to provide your API Key. To do so, navigate to your 'Profile' > 'API token'. To establish a connection, set the APIKey to your PivotalTracker API token in the ProfileSettings connection property.

Example connection string

Profile=C:\profiles\PivotalTracker.apip;ProfileSettings='APIKey=my_api_token';
