The CData ODBC Driver for Apache Impala is a standards-based ODBC driver with editions for Windows and Unix-based operating systems, like macOS and Linux. The following sections show how to create an ODBC data source and query data.

Creating a DSN on Your Platform

Apache Impala Version Support

The driver models Apache Impala instances as relational databases. The driver leverages the Impala Server Thrift API, to enable bidirectional access to Apache Impala data through SQL. Impala Server 2.2.0 and above are supported.
