Connecting to Demio
Using API Key Authentication
Demio uses API Key and API Secret authentication. To obtain your credentials:
- Log into your Demio account.
- Navigate to Account Settings > API. This section requires Owner-level access.
- Copy the API Key and API Secret shown on the page.
After obtaining your credentials, set the following connection properties:
- AuthScheme: Set this to APIKey.
- APIKey: Set this to your Demio API Key (passed via ProfileSettings).
- APISecret: Set this to your Demio API Secret (passed via ProfileSettings).
Example Connection String
Profile=C:\profiles\Demio.apip;AuthScheme=APIKey;ProfileSettings='APIKey=my_api_key;APISecret=my_api_secret;'
Connecting to Demio
Once authentication is configured, you can connect to Demio and read and write data through the available tables. Most tables (Events, Event, EventDate) support SELECT. EventDateParticipants additionally supports INSERT to register participants.
Available Tables
The Demio API Profile provides access to the following tables:
- Events: Retrieve a list of all webinar events; optionally filter by Type (upcoming, past, automated)
- Event: Retrieve detailed information for a single event, including all scheduled sessions (requires Id)
- EventDate: Retrieve date and time details for a specific event session (requires EventId and DateId)
- EventDateParticipants: Retrieve participants for a specific event session (SELECT requires DateId); register a new participant (INSERT requires Email, Name, and EventId; DateId is optional)
Important Notes
- The Event table requires Id to be specified in the WHERE clause.
- The EventDate table requires both EventId and DateId to be specified in the WHERE clause.
- The EventDateParticipants table requires DateId in the WHERE clause for SELECT. To register a participant (INSERT), Email, Name, and EventId are required.
- API credentials require Owner-level access in your Demio account.
