Connecting to SAS Data Sets
Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to SAS Data Sets and configure any necessary connection properties. You can also configure provider capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.
Connecting from Visual Studio
The CData ADO.NET Provider for SASDataSets provides a seamless integration with Microsoft Visual Studio. The provider is registered as an ADO.NET provider with Visual Studio, allowing for integration with visual designer tools, Server Explorer, and ADO.NET data source configuration wizards.
SAS Data Sets Version Support
The provider models SASDataSets instances as relational databases and supports SASDataSets version ?. The provider leverages the SASDataSets API, including the SASDataSets aggregation framework, to enable bidirectional SQL access to SASDataSets data. See the NoSQL Database chapter for SQL-to-SASDataSets query mappings and more information about accessing unstructured data in SASDataSets through SQL.
