MoveObject

Transfers an object from one bucket to another by combining copy and delete operations.

Stored Procedure-Specific Information

This procedure moves an object in two steps: it first copies the object to the destination and then deletes the source object. The source object is deleted only after the copy succeeds. If you omit ObjectDestination, the source key is reused in the destination bucket.

The following example moves an object to another bucket:

EXECUTE MoveObject
     @BucketSource='SourceBucket',
     @ObjectSource='ObjectName',
     @BucketDestination='DestinationBucket',
     @ObjectDestination='MovedObjectName'

ObjectSource String True The key (name) of the object within the source bucket to be relocated.
BucketDestination String True The name of the destination S3 bucket where the object will be placed.
