Power BI Connector for Amazon S3

Build 26.0.9770

Buckets

Lists S3 buckets visible under the configured AuthScheme. Available only in the Information federated schema.

Table-Specific Information

Note: This table retrieves buckets from all regions, regardless of the AWSRegion connection property.

SELECT

The connector uses the Amazon S3 API to process filter criteria that reference the Bucket column, and processes all other filters client-side within the connector. For example, the following query is processed server-side:
SELECT * FROM Buckets WHERE Bucket = 'TestBucket'

INSERT

To create a bucket, specify the Bucket column in the INSERT statement. You can optionally set the target region with the BucketRegion column. For example, the following statement creates a bucket in a specific region:
INSERT INTO Buckets (Bucket, BucketRegion) VALUES ('TestBucket', 'us-west-2')

To set an ACL, object ownership, or an expected bucket owner when you create a bucket, use the CreateBucket stored procedure instead.

DELETE

To delete a bucket, specify the Bucket column in the DELETE statement. For example, the following statement deletes a bucket from Amazon S3:
DELETE FROM Buckets WHERE Bucket = 'MyBucket'
