Remarks

By default, the adapter maps synonyms to its parent tables and queries columns and primary/foreign key meta data for them like they are being the regular tables. If property is set to false, then the adapter is only listing synonyms and is not mapping them to the regular tables.

Setting the property to false is increasing meta-data performance. Consider it if you don't need to request meta-data of synonyms automatically.
