The connection string properties describe the various options that can be used to establish a connection.
The connection string can be set to a series of option=value strings separated by semicolons. If a connection string property value has special characters such as semicolons, single quotes, spaces, etc., then you must quote the value using either single or double quotes.
Connection options are case insensitive.
Connection String Options
The following is the full list of the options you can configure in the connection string for this provider. Click on the links for further details.
|Allow Prepared Statement||Prepare a query statement before its execution.|
|Browsable Schemas||Comma-separated list of schemas to restrict browse-able database object tree.|
|Data Source||Oracle Net Services Name, Connect Descriptor, or an easy connect naming that identifies the database to which to connect.|
|Location||A path to the directory that contains the schema files defining tables, views, and stored procedures.|
|Logfile||A filepath which designates the name and location of the log file.|
|Log Modules||Core modules to be included in the log file.|
|Max Lob Size||The volume in numbers of bytes or UTF-8 chars which is allowed to query by non-parameterized SELECT query.|
|Max Log File Count||A string specifying the maximum file count of log files. When the limit is hit, a new log is created in the same folder with the date and time appended to the end and the oldest log file will be deleted.|
|Max Log File Size||A string specifying the maximum size in bytes for a log file (for example, 10 MB). When the limit is hit, a new log is created in the same folder with the date and time appended to the end.|
|Max Rows||Limits the number of rows returned rows when no aggregation or group by is used in the query. This helps avoid performance issues at design time.|
|Other||These hidden properties are used only in specific use cases.|
|Password||The password used to authenticate the user.|
|Port||The port used to connect to the server hosting the Oracle database.|
|Query Passthrough||This option passes the query to the Oracle OCI server as is.|
|Readonly||You can use this property to enforce read-only access to Oracle OCI from the provider.|
|Reconnect Timeout||The sleep time, in seconds, before retrying to reconnect to the server on a maximum idle time exceeded error.|
|Reconnect Tries||The number of retry to connect server when a maximum idle time exceeded error is reported by server.|
|RTK||The runtime key used for licensing.|
|Server||The host name or IP of the server hosting the Oracle database.|
|Service Name||The service name of the Oracle database.|
|Tables||This property restricts the tables reported to a subset of the available tables. For example, Tables=TableA,TableB,TableC.|
|User||The Oracle OCI user account used to authenticate.|
|Views||Restricts the views reported to a subset of the available tables. For example, Views=ViewA,ViewB,ViewC.|
