string
Default Value
"Never"
Remarks
The server can generate schema files corresponding to views returned by the server. Editing these generated schema files gives you granular control over the metadata (such as columns) returned by the server when the corresponding views are queried.
For example, removing a column (<attr> element) from a generated schema file causes that column not to be reported.
Schema files generated by the server are output to the folder specified in the Location connection property.
When this connection property is set to OnUse, upon making a metadata request for a view, the server generates a schema file for that view.
When this connection property is set to OnStart, the server generates schema files for all the views that are discovered when the connection begins.
Schema files are not overwritten if they already exist in the Location folder. To update a specific schema file with updated metadata, first delete that schema file from this folder, then trigger the schema file creation again.
