MessageServerService Parameter (Connect-SAPERP Cmdlet)

The name of the service where the message server specified in the MessageServer connection property can be reached.

Remarks

This connection property is required when the ConnectionScheme connection property is set to GroupServer.

To find the value for this connection property, open the SAP GUI and navigate as follows:

  • Use T-code "SMMS" to open the message server monitor.
  • Select the message server you specified in the MessageServer connection property.
  • In the menu bar, Navigate to Goto > Parameters > Change. This opens the Profile Parameters window.
  • In the Profile Parameters window, note the value in the New Value column for the parameter "rdisp/msserv".
  • Set this connection property to the noted value.

If not specified, the 本製品 connects with HTTP.

On Windows machines, the mappings between these services and their ports are stored on C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services.

On Unix machines, these mappings are stored in the /etc/services file or on the domain name server.
