Connecting to RSS
Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to RSS and configure any necessary connection properties. You can also configure provider capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.
Connecting from Visual Studio
The CData ADO.NET Provider for RSS provides a seamless integration with Microsoft Visual Studio. The provider is registered as an ADO.NET provider with Visual Studio, allowing for integration with visual designer tools, Server Explorer, and ADO.NET data source configuration wizards.
Visual Studio Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for RSS supports Visual Studio versions 2012 and above.
.NET Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for RSS supports .NET Framework 4.0 and above as well as .NET Standard 2.0.
RSS Version Support
The provider surfaces RSS 2.0 feeds as relational tables, enabling standards-based access to the real-time data streaming capabilities of RSS.
