Establishing a Connection
Configure a Connection Profile
From the CData ribbon, click Get Data and select From QuickBooks connection/s to launch the CData Query window. To setup a new connection, you will have to click the New QuickBooks Connection button. Here you can set the connection settings, test the connection, and save the connection profile.
Connecting to QuickBooks
The add-in makes requests to QuickBooks through the QuickBooks Gateway. The QuickBooks Gateway runs on the same machine as QuickBooks and accepts connections through a lightweight, embedded Web server. The server supports SSL/TLS, enabling users to connect securely from remote machines. The first time you connect, you will need to authorize the add-in with QuickBooks. For more information, refer to our Using the QuickBooks Gateway guide.
Connection Properties
The Connection properties describe the various options that can be used to establish a connection.
Managing Connections
After successfully authenticating to QuickBooks you will be able to customize the data you are importing. To learn more about this, see Managing Connections.
