From FileMaker Pro
You can connect to a DSN to load QuickBooks data into FileMaker Pro tables that can be refreshed on demand.
Building a Query to QuickBooks
FileMaker Pro provides a wizard to build the data import SQL.
- In your FileMaker Pro database, select File > Import Records > ODBC Data Source, and select the CData QuickBooks Source DSN.
-
In the resulting SQL Query Builder wizard, select tables and columns and then click Insert into SQL Query. You can also edit this query directly.
You can use the UI to build filters in the WHERE clause by clicking the WHERE tab.
- In the resulting Import Field Mapping wizard, you can define mappings from columns in the data source to the columns in a destination table. To create a new table for the query results, select New Table ("CData QuickBooks Source") from the Target box and click Import.
Refreshing Data
You can load any changes made to the external data into your FileMaker tables in Browse by selecting Records > Refresh Window. FileMaker Pro also executes a SELECT to QuickBooks when you run a search on the Fields tab of the relationships graph.
