If QuickBooks Desktop is not currently open with a CompanyFile, QuickBooks Desktop will be automatically opened in the background with the file specified. Do not set CompanyFile when QuickBooks Desktop is open. If QuickBooks Desktop is open through the application UI, only the currently opened CompanyFile may be used. If you are connecting to a remote company file, the CompanyFile parameter will be ignored. Specify the company file when you create a QuickBooks Gateway user.
