CData Python Connector for PingOne

Build 26.0.9770

ApplicationMetadata

The user-defined custom metadata associated with the application.

Table-Specific Information

We recommend using the built-in Client Application Developer role to read and write data for this table.

SELECT

Reading data from this table requires Read Application/applications:read:application permission.

To execute SELECT statements on this table, the ApplicationId column must be specified in the criteria as shown in the examples below:

SELECT * FROM Administrators.ApplicationMetadata WHERE ApplicationId = '5234c0c8-3761-4fc0-8ec4-2b64eeb96cff';
SELECT * FROM Administrators.ApplicationMetadata WHERE ApplicationId IN ('5234c0c8-3761-4fc0-8ec4-2b64eeb96cff', '4441de0a-e4f2-47da-a217-545955eb23a5');

The connector uses the PingOne Platform API to process WHERE clause conditions built with the following columns and operators.

  • ApplicationId supports the following operators: =, IN.

All other filters are processed client-side within the connector.

UPDATE

Updating data in this table requires Update Application/applications:update:application permission.

The MetadataAggregate column holds the entire metadata object of the application. Updating it replaces that object, so any properties which are not included in the new value are removed from the application.

Refer to the query example below:

UPDATE Administrators.ApplicationMetadata SET MetadataAggregate = '{ "Updated": "2026-08-07", "Owner": { "FirstName": "John", "LastName": "Doe" } }' WHERE ApplicationId = '5234c0c8-3761-4fc0-8ec4-2b64eeb96cff'

DELETE

The PingOne Platform API does not provide a dedicated endpoint to delete application metadata, so deleting a row from this table clears the metadata by replacing it with an empty object. This requires the same Update Application/applications:update:application permission as UPDATE.

Refer to the query example below:

DELETE FROM Administrators.ApplicationMetadata WHERE ApplicationId = '5234c0c8-3761-4fc0-8ec4-2b64eeb96cff'

Columns

Name Type ReadOnly References Description
ApplicationId [KEY] String True Applications.Id

The identifier (UUID) of the application to which the metadata belongs.

MetadataAggregate String False

User-defined custom metadata for the application. This information is represented in JSON format (aggregate). Updating this column replaces the entire metadata object, so any properties which are not included are removed.
