Establishing a Connection
Configure a Connection Profile
From the CData ribbon, click Get Data and select From SAP Business Warehouse connection/s to launch the CData Query window. To setup a new connection, you will have to click the New SAP Business Warehouse Connection button. Here you can set the connection settings, test the connection, and save the connection profile.
Connecting to SAP Business Warehouse
To connect, set the URL property to a valid SAP Business Warehouse server base URL and provide authentication. The add-in must connect to SAP Business Warehouse instances hosted over HTTP with XMLA access.
Authenticating to SAP Business Warehouse
The following authentication methods are supported:
- Basic
- Anonymous Authentication (None)
- Kerberos
Basic
Set User and Password and set AuthScheme to Basic.
Anonymous Authentication
If anonymous authentication is available, set AuthScheme to None to avoid authentication.
Kerberos
See Using Kerberos for details on how to authenticate with Kerberos.
Securing SAP Business Warehouse Connections
By default, the add-in attempts to negotiate SSL/TLS by checking the server's certificate against the system's trusted certificate store. To specify another certificate, see the SSLServerCert property for the available formats.
Connection Properties
The Connection properties describe the various options that can be used to establish a connection.
Managing Connections
After successfully authenticating to SAP Business Warehouse you will be able to customize the data you are importing. To learn more about this, see Managing Connections.
