09/23/20249032SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for External OAuth by including the OAuthClient authentication option in the AuthScheme connection property and the Other option in the OAuthAuthenticator connection property.
07/03/20248950SnowflakeAdded
  • Added a new property "BindingType" with two enumeration values: "Default" and "Text". Default uses epoch(nano) encoding for Date, Time, and Timestamp types. Text uses string formatting for Date, Time, and Timestamp types according to the session parameters. This ensures consistent behavior between batch (upload API) and non-batch (binding API) processing for Timestamp types.
05/17/20248903SnowflakeAdded
  • Added new "S3Domain" connection property to allow users to manually set the S3 domain of their Snowflake stage, which is useful when you need to set unique region-specific domains.

Removed
  • Removed support for the SnowflakeJSONResultSet format.
05/09/20248895GeneralChanged
  • The ROUND function previously did not accept negative precision values. That feature has now been restored.
03/18/20248843SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for AuthScheme AzureMSI.
03/15/20248840GeneralAdded
  • Created a new SQL function called STRING_COMPARE that provides java's String.compare() ability to SQL queries. Returns a number representative of the compared value of two strings
03/01/20248826SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for the mutiple statement.
11/29/20238733GeneralChanged
  • The ROUND function doesn't accept the negative precision values anymore.

Changed
  • The returning types of the FDMonth, FDQuarter, FDWeek, LDMonth, LDQuarter, LDWeek functions are changed from Timestamp to Date.
  • The return type of the ABS function will be consistent with the parameter value type.
11/28/20238732GeneralAdded

10/18/20238691SnowflakeAdded

04/25/20238515GeneralRemoved
  • Removed support for the SELECT INTO CSV statement. The core code doesn't support it anymore.
03/18/20238477SnowflakeAdded
  • Added a new Authscheme "ExternalBrowser" to use the OneLogin SSO identity provider. And the connection property "user" is necessary for this AuthScheme.
10/12/20228320TableauAdded
  • Added support for additional localizations in the Windows and Mac packages. Both setups now support all the languages that Tableau supports as of their 2022.2 release.
08/12/20228259TableauChanged
  • Updated connection dialogs to use advanced configuration information provided by drivers. This makes use of the same information as the new dialogs in other editions (like ODBC) to display only the most relevant connection properties.
  • Legacy connectors have been simplified to look more like Tableau JDBC dialogs. Legacy connectors target older Tableau versions which do not support rich connection dialogs like the modern connectors do. Most connectors cannot fit within these limitations.
06/29/20228215SnowflakeChanged
  • Switched to using the LOCAL TEMPORARY table to support the MERGE statement. This saves costs against the Snowflake server.
03/31/20228125SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for using the GET and PUT commands in the SQL statement. This can be used to upload/download files for Azure/S3/GCP.
12/19/20218023SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for TVF (table-valued function).
09/02/20217915GeneralAdded
  • Added support for the STRING_SPLIT table-valued function in the CROSS APPLY clause.
07/23/20217874GeneralChanged
  • Updated the Literal Function Names for relative date/datetime functions. Previously, relative date/datetime functions resolved to a different value when used in the projection as opposed to the predicate. For example: SELECT LAST_MONTH() AS lm, Col FROM Table WHERE Col > LAST_MONTH(). Formerly, the two LAST_MONTH() methods would resolve to different datetimes. Now, they will match.
  • As a replacement for the previous behavior, the relative date/datetime functions in the criteria may have an 'L' appended to them. For example: WHERE col > L_LAST_MONTH(). This will continue to resolve to the same values that were previously calculated in the criteria. Note that the "L_" prefix will only work in the predicate - it not available for the projection.
07/14/20217865SnowflakeChanged
  • Updated the protocol version to 3.13.5, synced with the latest official JDBC driver.
07/12/20217863SnowflakeAdded
  • Added support for prepared queries via the new connection property, AllowPreparedStatement. Set this property to true to support prepared queries.
04/25/20217785GeneralAdded
  • Added support for handling client side formulas during insert / update. For example: UPDATE Table SET Col1 = CONCAT(Col1, " - ", Col2) WHERE Col2 LIKE 'A%'
04/23/20217783GeneralChanged
  • Updated how display sizes are determined for varchar primary key and foreign key columns so they will match the reported length of the column.
04/16/20217776GeneralAdded
  • Non-conditional updates between two columns is now available to all drivers. For example: UPDATE Table SET Col1=Col2
04/16/20217776GeneralChanged
