Establishing a Connection
Creating a JDBC Data Source
You can create a JDBC data source to connect from your Java application. Creating a JDBC data source based on the CData JDBC Driver for Monday consists of three basic steps:
- Add the driver JAR file to the classpath. The JAR file is located in the lib subfolder of the installation directory. Note that the .lic file must be located in the same folder as the JAR file.
- Provide the driver class. For example:
cdata.jdbc.monday.MondayDriver
- Provide the JDBC URL. For example:
jdbc:monday:APIToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.yJ0aWQiOjE0MTc4NzIxMiwidWlkIjoyNzI3ODM3OSwiaWFkIjoiMjAyMi0wMS0yMFQxMDo0NjoxMy45NDFaIiwicGV; or jdbc:cdata:monday:APIToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.yJ0aWQiOjE0MTc4NzIxMiwidWlkIjoyNzI3ODM3OSwiaWFkIjoiMjAyMi0wMS0yMFQxMDo0NjoxMy45NDFaIiwicGV;
The second format above can be used whenever there is a conflict in your application between drivers using the same URL format to ensure you are using the CData driver. The URL must start with either "jdbc:monday:" or "jdbc:cdata:monday:" and can include any of the connection properties in name-value pairs separated with semicolons.
Connecting to Monday GraphQL API

- Select the application that you would like to create a token for. You may need to create an application first.
- Click the Create token button to generate an APIToken.
OAuth
Alternatively, you can establish a connection Using OAuth Authentication.
Connecting to Monday AuditLog API
To generate the audit log API token, access the admin section of your Monday account, click into the "Security" section and then the "Audit" tab. From there, select on the "Monitor by API" button and copy it.
After retrieving the API token you can connect from the driver by setting the following conenction properties:
- Schema=AuditLog
- AuthScheme=Token
- APIToken=Your audit log API token
- Domain=https://yourdomain.monday.com
