If you want to distinguish requests from this connection from other connections in server logs, or if your organization requires device identification for compliance or monitoring purposes, you can specify a custom name for your connection with this connection property.

If not specified, the add-in uses the IP address of the machine on which the add-in is running as the identifier.

The device name is included in AIS Server logs and can help identify the source of API requests. This connection property is useful for tracking and auditing purposes when multiple applications or integrations connect to the same JD Edwards instance.
