Procedure for Updates

You can use Exec to execute data modification statements. Exec returns a Result value which contains the number of affected rows.

INSERT

To insert updates:

result, _ := db.Exec("INSERT INTO AccountsPayable.AccountLedger (Amount) VALUES ('John')")
affected, _ := result.RowsAffected()

UPDATE

To retrieve updates:

result, _ := db.Exec("UPDATE AccountsPayable.AccountLedger SET Amount = 'John' WHERE DocumentNumber = '10001'")
affected, _ := result.RowsAffected()

DELETE

To delete updates:

result, _ := db.Exec("DELETE FROM AccountsPayable.AccountLedger WHERE Id = '325'")
affected, _ := result.RowsAffected()
