Connecting to Neo4j
Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to Neo4j and configure any necessary connection properties. You can also configure provider capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.
Connecting from Visual Studio
The CData ADO.NET Provider for Neo4j provides a seamless integration with Microsoft Visual Studio. The provider is registered as an ADO.NET provider with Visual Studio, allowing for integration with visual designer tools, Server Explorer, and ADO.NET data source configuration wizards.
Visual Studio Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for Neo4j supports Visual Studio versions 2012 and above.
.NET Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for Neo4j supports .NET Framework 4.0 and above as well as .NET Standard 2.0.
Neo4j Version Support
The provider supports connections to both the Neo4j HTTP and Query APIs. For HTTP API connections, the provider supports self-managed instances of Neo4j version 4.2 and above. For Query API connections, the provider supports self-managed or cloud (Neo4J Aura) instances of version 5.19 or above.
