Updates Microsoft Dynamics 365 data.

Syntax

Update-Dynamics365 [parameters]

Remarks

The Update-Dynamics365 cmdlet allows you to use a syntax similar to SQL UPDATE statements to update Microsoft Dynamics 365 data.

$conn = Connect-Dynamics365 -OrganizationUrl "https://myaccount.operations.dynamics.com/" -Edition "Sales"
Update-Dynamics365 -Connection $conn -Table "GoalHeadings" -Columns @("GoalHeadingId") -Values @("Jon Doe") -Id "'test'"

The Where parameter can also be used to specify the primary key of the table:

Update-Dynamics365 -Connection $conn -Table "GoalHeadings" -Columns @("GoalHeadingId") -Values @("Jon Doe") -Where "GoalHeadingId = ''test''"

The primary key can also be passed to the cmdlet along the pipeline:

Select-Dynamics365 -Connection $conn -Table GoalHeadings -Where "Name = 'MyAccount'" | Update-Dynamics365 -Columns @("Name") -Values @("MyAccount 2")
