SELECT Statements

A SELECT statement can consist of the following basic clauses.

Examples

Return all columns:
```
SELECT * FROM Carriers
```

Rename a column:

SELECT "CarrierId" AS MY_CarrierId FROM Carriers

Cast a column's data as a different data type:

SELECT CAST(AnnualRevenue AS VARCHAR) AS Str_AnnualRevenue FROM Carriers

Search data:

SELECT * FROM Carriers WHERE CarrierName = 'Bob'

The APIs support the following operators in the WHERE clause: =, AND, <>, LIKE, NOT, IS NULL, IS NOT NULL, IN, NOT IN, OR, <, >, <=, >=.

SELECT * FROM Carriers WHERE CarrierName = 'Bob';

Return the number of items matching the query criteria:
```
SELECT COUNT(*) AS MyCount FROM Carriers 
```
Return the number of unique items matching the query criteria:
```
SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT CarrierId) FROM Carriers 
```
Return the unique items matching the query criteria:

SELECT DISTINCT CarrierId FROM Carriers 
```

Sort a result set in ascending order:

SELECT CarrierId, CarrierId FROM Carriers  ORDER BY CarrierId ASC
