Connecting to Oracle HCM Cloud

Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to Oracle HCM Cloud and configure any necessary connection properties in a JDBC URL. You can also configure driver capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.

Connecting to JDBC Data Sources

The CData JDBC Driver for Oracle HCM Cloud provides full support for integration into Java applications, including Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and many other Integrated Development Environments, as well as J2EE applications running on a Java server such as Tomcat. You can find JSP, console, and swing demos in the installation folder.

Java Version Support

To deploy the driver JAR file, you must have Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.8 or higher installed on your system.

Oracle HCM Cloud Version Support

The driver leverages the Oracle HCM Cloud API version 11.13.18.05+ to enable bidirectional access to human resources data from Oracle HCM Cloud.
