Procedure for Updates

You can use odbc_exec to execute data modification statements. This will return a resource which contains the number of affected rows.

INSERT

To insert updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "INSERT INTO Issues (ContentRaw) VALUES ('Jane Doe')");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

UPDATE

To retrieve updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "UPDATE Issues SET ContentRaw = 'Jane Doe' WHERE ContentRaw = 'Bug'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

DELETE

To delete updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "DELETE FROM Issues WHERE Id = '1'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);
