The CData ODBC Driver for Avro is a standards-based ODBC driver with editions for Windows and Unix-based operating systems, like macOS and Linux. The following sections show how to create an ODBC data source and query data.

Avro Serialization Encodings

Apache Avro specifies two serialization encodings: binary and JSON. The driver only parses Avro files that are encoded in Binary.
