Configure a Connection Profile

From the CData ribbon, click Get Data and select From Informix connection/s to launch the CData Query window. To setup a new connection, you will have to click the New Informix Connection button. Here you can set the connection settings, test the connection, and save the connection profile.

Connecting to Informix

To connect to Informix, set these properties:

• AuthScheme: Specifies the type of user authentication to be performed at the server. There are two options:
  • USRIDPWD (default): Provides authentication via unencrypted user credentials (User and Password).
  • EUSRIDPWD: Provides authentication via encrypted user credentials.
• Host: The IP address of the server running Informix.
• Server: The name of the server running Informix.
• Port: The port the Informix server is listening on.
• Database: The name of the Informix database.
• User: The authenticating user.
• Password: The authenticating user's password.
