BatchSize
Specifies the maximum number of rows included in each batch submitted during batch operations.
Data Type
int
Default Value
0
Remarks
When BatchSize is set to a value greater than 0, the driver splits the entire operation into smaller batches, each containing the number of rows specified by the BatchSize property. These smaller batches are submitted to the server one at a time.
When set to 0, the driver submits the entire batch as a single request. Note that the Airtable API accepts at most 10 records per INSERT request, at most 25 records per UPDATE request, and at most 25 record ids per DELETE request. The driver always splits batch operations into requests within these limits, regardless of the BatchSize value. Set BatchSize to a smaller value to submit fewer records per request.
Airtable processes each request atomically: if any record in a request is invalid, the request has no effect and all of its rows are reported as failed in the LastResultInfo table. The remaining requests of the batch operation are still executed. Set BatchSize to 1 to receive an individual result for every row.
BatchSize is useful in situations where the server imposes limits on the size of requests. By splitting the operation into smaller parts, you can work around these limitations and ensure successful batch processing.
