CData Tableau Connector for Google Data Catalog
The CData Tableau Connector for Google Data Catalog offers self-service integration with Tableau. The connector facilitates live access to Google Data Catalog data in Tableau using the connection window. The connector also provides direct querying to visualize and analyze Google Data Catalog data.
The connector supports Tableau Desktop 2020.1 or later and Tableau Prep 2020.4.1 or later. For older versions of Tableau, the CData ODBC Driver for Google Data Catalog or the CData JDBC Driver for Google Data Catalog can serve as an alternative means of connecting to Google Data Catalog data in Tableau.
See Getting Started for a guide to create a Google Data Catalog Data Source in Tableau. The guide will walk you through Installing the Connector and then Configuring a Connection via the connection builder.
Once a connection has been configured, see Getting Data to set up a data source that offers live connectivity to Google Data Catalog.
Advanced Features details additional features supported by the connector, such as defining user defined views, ssl configuration, remoting, caching, firewall/proxy settings, and advanced logging.
