接続の確立

The CData Code Assist MCP for SybaseIQ defines each connection to SybaseIQ as a named configuration that an MCP Client (such as Claude Desktop) can use when sending natural language queries.

You create and manage these configurations using the CData Code Assist MCP Configuration Tool. The tool automatically handles formatting, storage, and registration with MCP clients.

Understanding Connection Configurations

Each connection configuration is stored in a .mcp file. This file includes the details needed to initialize the connector when an MCP Client starts a session.

On Windows, configuration files are stored in "~/AppData/Roaming/CData/SybaseIQ Data Provider/".
On macOS, configuration files are stored in "~/Library/Application Support/CData/SybaseIQ Data Provider/".

The .mcp file is a text file that contains a list of connection properties and a timestamp. For example:

The configuration tool handles these settings automatically. Each saved configuration enables an MCP client to launch a dedicated MCP server instance with the correct connector and options. Manual file editing is not required.

SybaseIQ への接続

SybaseIQ に接続するには、次の接続プロパティを指定します。

Server：SybaseIQ またはSAP SQL Anywhere データベースインスタンスの名前またはネットワークアドレスに設定。
Database：指定されたサーバーで実行されているSybaseIQ またはSAP SQL Anywhere データベースの名前に設定。

オプションで、UseSSL をtrue に設定することにより、TLS/SSL で接続を保護できます。

Note： 上記の本製品設定でSAP SQL Anywhere のインスタンスに接続することもできます。

SybaseIQ への認証

SybaseIQ は、Basic 認証、Kerberos 認証、LDAP 認証などの認証方法をいくつかサポートしています。

Basic

Set the AuthScheme to Basic and set the following connection properties to use SybaseIQ authentication.

User：認証SybaseIQ ユーザーのユーザー名に設定。
Password：認証SybaseIQ ユーザーのパスワードに設定。

LDAP

LDAP 認証で接続するには、LDAP 認証メカニズムを使用するようにSybaseIQサーバーサイドを設定する必要があります。

LDAP 用にSybaseIQ を設定したら、Basic 認証と同じクレデンシャルを使用して接続できます。

Kerberos

Kerberos 認証を活用するには、次の接続プロパティを使用してそれを有効にすることから始めます。

AuthScheme：Set to Kerberos will be used for authentication to SybaseIQ.

Kerberos 認証用に設定する必要がある接続プロパティに関しては、Kerberos の使用情報を参照してください。
