OAuth, OAuthPassword, OAuthJWT, OAuthPKCE, OAuthClient

Data Type

Default Value

"OAuthPKCE"

Remarks

The driver supports the following authentication methods:

  • OAuth: Set this to perform OAuth with the code grant type.
  • OAuthPassword: Deprecated. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement is retiring the OAuth 2.0 Username-Password Flow for Connected Apps, with a final retirement deadline of February 20, 2027. After this date, authentication using this flow will no longer succeed. See this announcement for more information. Switching to a supported authentication scheme, such as OAuthJWT or OAuthPKCE, is recommended. Set this to perform OAuth with the password grant type.
  • OAuthJWT: Set this to perform OAuth authentication with a JWT certificate. Requires the following additional connection properties. [OAuthJWTCert,/OAuthJWTCertType/OAuthJWTCertPassword/OAuthJWTCertSubject/OAuthJWTIssuer/OAuthJWTSubject]
  • OAuthPKCE: Set this to use Proof Key of Code Exchange(PKCE) extension of the standard OAuth2 flow. Either set your own PKCEVerifier or the driver automatically generates one for you.
  • OAuthClient: Set this to perform OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials flow for server-to-server integration. Requires OAuthClientId and OAuthClientSecret.
