The CData MCP Server for Zendesk is a lightweight connector that runs locally and makes Zendesk data accessible to Claude Desktop via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Installation is streamlined through a single installer package that includes the MCP Server, connector files, and a configuration tool for setting up connections.

Download and Run the Installer

Download the latest installer for the MCP Server from your CData contact or the distribution source provided by your administrator.

Run the installer and follow the prompts. This will:

• Install the MCP Server and connector components.
• Add the configuration tool to your system's Start menu (Windows only).
• Prepare your system to register connections with Claude Desktop.

Run the Configuration Tool

After installation, launch the CData MCP Driver for Zendesk from the Start menu.

Use the tool to define your connection details:

1. Open the Configuration Name drop-down and select an existing configuration, or choose the option to create a new one.
2. Enter the required connection string properties.
3. Save the configuration. Each saved configuration defines a connection Claude can access by name.

Start Claude

After saving your configuration, launch Claude Desktop to start querying your data source.

Claude automatically detects available MCP connections, starts the server as needed, and responds to your questions using live data from Zendesk.
