Returns information about WordPress categories, including their names, descriptions, and post counts.
Table-Specific Information
SELECT
The component uses the WordPress API to process the following filter server-side. Other filters are processed client-side within the component.
- Slug supports the = operator.
SELECT * FROM Categories WHERE Slug = 'test'
INSERT
To insert a category, the following columns are required: Name and Slug.
INSERT INTO Categories (Name, Slug) VALUES ('randomname', 'test')
UPDATE
To update a category, you must specify the following columns: Name and ID.
UPDATE Categories SET Name = 'updatedName', Description = 'Updated description.' WHERE ID = '155863483'
DELETE
To delete a category, you must specify the following column: ID.
DELETE FROM Categories WHERE ID = '139'
