Tableau Connector for Splunk

Build 26.0.9770

Stored Procedures

Stored procedures are function-like interfaces that extend the functionality of the connector beyond simple SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE operations with Splunk.

Stored procedures accept a list of parameters, perform their intended function, and then return any relevant response data from Splunk, along with an indication of whether the procedure succeeded or failed.

CData Tableau Connector for Splunk Stored Procedures

Name Description
AcknowledgeAlert Acknowledge the alert suppression of a saved search and resume alerting.
CreateHTTPEvent The HTTP Event Collector (HEC) lets you send data and application events to a Splunk deployment over the HTTP and Secure HTTP (HTTPS) protocols.
CreateIndex Create a data index.
CreateSavedSearch Create a saved search.
CreateSchema Creates a schema file for the specified table or view.

The input parameters mirror the insertable fields of the SearchJobs table.
ExecuteSearchQuery Performs a search and streams the results back, identical to a POST on the search/jobs/export endpoint.
ReadJobResults Read the results of a job given a search ID.
UpdateIndex Update a data index.
UpdateSavedSearch Update a saved search.
