Stored Procedures Specific Information

Process of uploading attachment

This stored procedure uploads an attachment to an Act! CRM entity. The required parameters EntityType (accepts a single value: 'activities', 'documents', 'history', or 'notes') and EntityId (accepts a single value) identify the target entity. Specify either the optional FilePath parameter (local path of the file to upload) or the Content parameter (file content as an InputStream) to provide the file data. When using Content (file content as an InputStream), the FileName parameter (including extension) is also required. For example:

Upload from a local file path

EXEC UploadAttachment EntityType = 'notes', EntityId = 'e29228c9-db9e-4b96-bd62-bfa8437a354b', FilePath = 'D:/Logs/kpi.png';

Upload from an input stream

EXEC UploadAttachment EntityType = 'notes', EntityId = 'e29228c9-db9e-4b96-bd62-bfa8437a354b', Content = @inputStream, FileName = 'kpi.png';
