The server models Apache Hive instances as relational databases. Hive versions 0.11.0 and above are supported. The server leverages the HiveServer2 Thrift API, to enable bidirectional access to Apache Hive data through SQL.

Discovering Schemas

The CData MCP Server for Apache Hive dynamically obtains the Apache Hive schemas. Reconnect to load any changes in the metadata, such as added or removed columns or changes in data type.
