Excel Add-In for Slack

Build 26.0.9770

FeaturedWorkflows

Query, add, replace, and remove featured workflow triggers configured per channel in Slack. Each row represents a single (ChannelId, TriggerId) pairing. ChannelId is required on every operation. UPDATE on this table uses bulk-replace semantics: it replaces all featured workflows in the channel with the value of TriggerId (which may be a comma-separated list of up to 15 trigger Ids).

Select

The FeaturedWorkflows table exposes the workflow triggers that have been featured in Slack channels. Each row represents a single (ChannelId, TriggerId) pairing. The add-in uses the Slack API to retrieve featured workflow triggers configured per channel. ChannelId supports server-side filtering with the = operator and with IN (a single API call is issued with the channel Ids combined as a comma-separated list). TriggerId supports server-side filtering with = and IN (which fans out one API call per TriggerId). All other filters are processed client-side.

For example, the following queries are processed server side by the Slack APIs:

SELECT * FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69'

SELECT ChannelId, TriggerId, TriggerTitle FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId IN ('C01KWCPJJ69', 'C09JTHC23TF')

SELECT ChannelId, TriggerId FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69' AND TriggerId = 'Ft0B4VQ287E1'

SELECT ChannelId, TriggerId FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69' AND TriggerId IN ('Ft0B4VQ287E1', 'Ft099G2F0ASJ')

Insert

ChannelId and TriggerId are both required when adding a featured workflow. Each INSERT adds one trigger to one channel. To feature multiple triggers in the same channel, issue one INSERT per trigger.

INSERT INTO FeaturedWorkflows (ChannelId, TriggerId) VALUES ('C01KWCPJJ69', 'Ft0B4VQ287E1')

INSERT INTO FeaturedWorkflows (ChannelId, TriggerId) VALUES ('C01KWCPJJ69', 'Ft099G2F0ASJ')

Update

UPDATE on the FeaturedWorkflows table uses bulk-replace semantics: the TriggerId value replaces all featured workflows currently configured for the channel. The TriggerId column accepts a comma-separated list of up to 15 trigger Ids. ChannelId must be supplied in the WHERE clause.

UPDATE FeaturedWorkflows SET TriggerId = 'Ft0B4VQ287E1' WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69'

UPDATE FeaturedWorkflows SET TriggerId = 'Ft0B4VQ287E1,Ft099G2F0ASJ' WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69'

Delete

A featured workflow can be removed by providing its ChannelId and TriggerId. The IN operator on TriggerId fans out one API call per trigger.

DELETE FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69' AND TriggerId = 'Ft0B4VQ287E1'

DELETE FROM FeaturedWorkflows WHERE ChannelId = 'C01KWCPJJ69' AND TriggerId IN ('Ft0B4VQ287E1', 'Ft099G2F0ASJ')
