JDBC Driver for Slack

Build 26.0.9770

Dnd

Retrieves a user's current Do Not Disturb status.

View-Specific Information

SELECT

The driver uses the Slack API to process search criteria that refer to the UserId and TeamId columns. These columns support server-side processing for the = operator. The driver processes other filters client-side within the driver.

  • UserId supports the = operator.
  • TeamId supports the = operator.

If UserId is not specified, the DND status of the authenticated user is returned by default.

TeamId is required when using an org-level token to specify the workspace.

Note: TeamId is only relevant when you connect with an org-level token. When you connect with a workspace-level token, the Slack API accepts the TeamId but ignores it and returns the data for the authenticated workspace. Filtering on an invalid or empty TeamId therefore does not raise an error and does not return an empty result set.

For example, the following queries are processed server-side. The first query omits UserId, so the Slack API returns the DND status for the authenticated user by default. The remaining queries filter by UserId, TeamId, or both.

SELECT * FROM Dnd

SELECT * FROM Dnd WHERE UserId = 'U03AZBU3CMT'

SELECT * FROM Dnd WHERE TeamId = 'T01234ABCDE'

SELECT * FROM Dnd WHERE UserId = 'U03AZBU3CMT' AND TeamId = 'T01234ABCDE'

Pseudocolumns

Pseudocolumn fields are used in the WHERE clause of SELECT statements and offer more granular control over the data returned from the data source.

Name Type Description
UserId String The Id of the user to fetch the DND status for. Defaults to the current authenticated user if not specified.
TeamId String The encoded team Id where the user belongs. Required if org token is used. It is only relevant when you connect with an org-level token. This will be ignored if workspace-level token is used.
