Procedure for Updates

You can use odbc_exec to execute data modification statements. This will return a resource which contains the number of affected rows.

INSERT

To insert updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "INSERT INTO Group (Email) VALUES ('[email protected]')");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

UPDATE

To retrieve updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "UPDATE Group SET Email = '[email protected]' WHERE CustomerId = 'eyt593htjgh'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

DELETE

To delete updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "DELETE FROM Group WHERE Id = 'S'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);
