Getting Started
Connecting to ODBC data sources
Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to ODBC data sources and configure any necessary connection properties in a JDBC URL. You can also configure driver capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.
Connecting to JDBC Data Sources
The CData JDBC-ODBC Bridge provides full support for integration into Java applications, including Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and many other Integrated Development Environments, as well as J2EE applications running on a Java server such as Tomcat.
Java Version Support
To deploy the driver JAR file, you must have Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.8 or higher installed on your system.ODBC data sources Version Support
Various ODBC standards such as ODBC 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, and 3.8 are known to be supported in the bridge. However, no universal version is supported and ODBC drivers must be tested individually.See Also
