Connecting to DB2
Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to DB2 and configure any necessary connection properties. You can also configure provider capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.
Connecting from Visual Studio
The CData ADO.NET Provider for DB2 provides a seamless integration with Microsoft Visual Studio. The provider is registered as an ADO.NET provider with Visual Studio, allowing for integration with visual designer tools, Server Explorer, and ADO.NET data source configuration wizards.
Visual Studio Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for DB2 supports Visual Studio versions 2012 and above.
.NET Version Support
The CData ADO.NET Provider for DB2 supports .NET Framework 4.0 and above as well as .NET Standard 2.0.
DB2 Version Support
Compatible with DRDA gateway protocol version 5 and newer. May also connect to DB2 server deployed DRDA gateway.
